Anslie Stokes is a REALTOR® with McEnearney Associates, Inc. Real estate runs in Anslie’s family. As the daughter of a veteran real estate broker and a high-end custom home builder/developer in Southwest Florida, she brings the skills she learned from her successful parents to bear in her practice here in Washington, DC.
A graduate of The George Washington University, Anslie has been immersed in the culture and history of DC for over a decade. Owning both her primary residence and having owned several investment properties in the city, Anslie is not only familiar with DC’s myriad neighborhoods, but she has a true understanding of the different needs her various clients bring to the home-buying and selling process -- whether first-time buyer or seasoned investor. Prior to launching her real estate career, Anslie worked at a global IT consulting firm. Harnessing her strong analytical and technical skills, she now provides superior price analysis and efficiency to all of her clients
Anslie is a member of the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR), the Washington, DC Association of REALTORS® (WDCAR) and The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Anslie currently (2008) serves on the WDCAR Board of Directors, ensuring the continuity of the association by planning for the future, establishing and reviewing major policies and programs and making sure the organization is fiscally sound. Anslie was selected from an elite group of her REALTOR® peers to serve on the 2006, 2007 and 2008 GCAAR Grievance Committee, which reviews ethics complaints that have been filed by members of the public and the industry. The committee then forwards those complaints meriting further action to the Professional Standards Committee. Anslie is also a member of the Women's Council of REALTORS® (WCR). Through her involvement in these and other organizations, Anslie stays at the forefront of changes in the national and local real estate laws, ownership and relocation trends, and emerging real estate opportunities.
In June 2007, Anslie was recognized by REALTOR® Magazine as one of the top 30 agents under 30 years old in the country. She was selected from over 600 agents nationwide. In 2006 Anslie earned her GRI designation from the National Association of REALTORS®, a benchmark achieved by less than 10% of REALTORS® in the Washington area.
In addition to her work in real estate, Anslie is an active member of several community and civic organizations. Anslie volunteers with the Washington Junior League, a service-oriented organization focused on improving literacy for the men, women and children of the greater Washington, DC, area. Anslie is active in her own neighborhood, Glover Park, serving as the 2006/2007 secretary and 2007/2008 treasurer of the Glover Park Citizens' Association and as a board member on the Friends’ of Guy Mason board of directors. In addition, Anslie organizes a yearly house tour in Glover Park, with ticket proceeds benefiting the local elementary school, Stoddert Elementary.
